Since watching the documentary Food, Inc. in January 2010, I’ve been using more holistic and natural remedies for my family, so when I was invited to an essential oil class in December 2013, it was a no-brainer I was going. I was intrigued by the benefits essential oils could offer and the lovely aromas had me at the first whiff, but I was completely overwhelmed by all the information given in the class and didn’t know what oils to spend my moolah on. So I came home and began researching everything I could get my hands on about essential oils…..the best companies to buy from, safe and proper usage, dilutions, and way more. My husband even joked that I could write a research paper on what I had learned about essential oils and little did he (or I) know that I’d indeed do that. One thing led to another and through a great essential oil book I ordered on Amazon, Essential Living, I learned about Aromahead Institute, School of Essential Oil Studies.

I dove into all the free info at Aromahead and then purchased the “Aromatherapy for Natural Living” and the “Body Butters and Lip Balms” classes. Over the next 8 months I went back and forth about enrolling in the certification program, and in August 2014 finally went for it. A little over a year later with 235 hours of aromatherapy training, 76 hours of anatomy and physiology training, 20 case studies, and a research paper I became a certified aromatherapist.

In May of 2017 I attended an Aromatherapy Teacher Certification Training Course with The School for Aromatic Studies and The New York Institute of Aromatherapy. I’m now a Level 1 Certified Aromatherapy Teacher and am so excited to be creating new workshops for you.

I love learning, and am currently expanding my aromatherapy knowledge with several other classes at Aromahead Institute, as well as at Tisserand Institute and The School for Aromatic Studies. My future is bright and I look forward to broadening my knowledge of aromatic substances with herbal studies one day.

I have a desire to share my knowledge and insight about essential oils with you. I remember feeling overwhelmed by all the info out there so I teach in-person workshops to better help you understand how to use oils safely and effectively and be inspired to create your own blends at home. I also want to get you feeling better so I have an expanding life of aromatherapy products as well as offer one-on-one aromatherapy consultations to help you with a variety of physical, mental and emotional concerns.
